GoTasko — Privacy Policy
1. Data controller
The data controller is MB Branua, company code 307277992, registered office at Lygumų k. 8, LT-18105, Švenčionių r., Lithuania ("GoTasko" or "we"). For any personal-data question, contact info@gotasko.lt.
2. What data we collect
Depending on whether you use GoTasko as a client or as a provider ("meistras"), we may collect:
- Registration data: name (display name), email, phone number, city;
- For providers / companies: company name, company code, service category, experience description, work-sample photos;
- Task data: problem description, photos, approximate location (city, district) and the exact address — the exact address is stored separately and visible only to you and the provider you select, it is never public; urgency level;
- Communication data: active-task messages between a client and their selected provider on the platform; correspondence with the GoTasko support team;
- Review and rating data;
- Technical data: device type, IP address, app performance and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics). Advertising and analytics tracking tools are currently disabled in the app;
- Payment data (if and when in-platform payments are introduced) — processed by a certified payment service provider; GoTasko does not store full payment-card details.
You provide most data yourself. Some data about you may come from other users (e.g., a client's review of a provider). Registration data is required to create an account and provide the service — without it we cannot serve you; other data is provided voluntarily.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of a contract: account creation, mediating tasks between client and provider (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b));
- Legitimate interest: platform security, fraud prevention, provider review (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f));
- Consent: marketing messages, if you agreed to receive them (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); you may withdraw consent at any time;
- Legal obligation: accounting, responses to public authorities (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that would produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
4. Who we share data with
- The other party to the transaction: the client sees the provider's profile with rating and reviews; the provider sees the content of the client's task (the provider sees the exact task address only once the client selects that provider);
- Data processors: Google (Firebase services — data storage, authentication, crash reporting; Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC), and possibly other IT infrastructure providers;
- Public authorities, where required by law.
Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards (e.g., Firebase uses Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Retention period
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations — generally up to 3 years from your last use of the platform, or longer where the law requires (e.g., accounting records — up to 10 years).
6. Your rights
You have the right to: access your data; have it rectified; have it erased ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact info@gotasko.lt or pagalba@gotasko.lt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).
7. Cookies
The GoTasko mobile app does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your device stores only the sign-in session and app settings needed for the app to work. If analytics or marketing tools are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and any consent-requiring solutions will be implemented before they are enabled.
8. Data security
Access rights are checked on the server — modifying the app alone does not grant access to other people's data. Public and private data are stored separately: the exact task address is kept in a separate, restricted record and is visible only to the client and their selected provider. Data travels over encrypted connections, and location (GPS/EXIF) metadata is stripped from uploaded photos. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
9. Account deletion
You can delete your account directly in the app at any time. On deletion, the account is closed and any public provider profile is immediately withdrawn from the marketplace. Associated personal data is erased within a reasonable period. We may retain, for a limited time, only data we are legally required to keep (e.g., accounting records) or data needed to resolve a dispute or prevent abuse. Help with deletion: info@gotasko.lt.
10. Children's data
GoTasko is not intended for persons under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will inform you of material changes by email or by a notice in the app.
